Earthly desired to create an easy way for the public to “Invest in Nature“ and channel of contributions to the environment by offering a WooCommerce plugin for use by any eCommerce site using WooCommerce

Challenge

The challenge was to encourage contributions to the environment, but in an easy and non-intrusive way that added value, rather than being annoying.

Solution

Adaire designed and deployed a WooCommerce plugin that could be installed by any 3rd party developing an eCommerce website based on WooCommerce.

Once installed, when a customer was using that 3rd party eCommerce site, during checkout, they would be presented with a selection of options where they would be invited to “Invest in Nature“.

The total of the end-customer would then be increased to include that investment and they would be charged normally.

Results

The plugin entered in Proof of Concept and testing phase, receiving positive reviews. Transaction amounts cannot be shared at the request of Earthly.
