Project Summary
PayToday is a Namibian mobile payment solution powered by Nedbank Namibia, offering a cashless and cardless system for personal and business transactions. It is designed to be bank-agnostic, meaning users can link it to various bank accounts, not only Nedbank.
The existing platform was 10 years old, experiencing multiple security breaches and not longer future proof or fit for purpose.
Adaire was engaged to completely rebuild the platform on the latest technology, incorporate the latest security features and payment capabilities.

Solution
A full platform rebuild and migration – built for security and scale.
Adaire redesigned and rebuilt the Nedbank PayToday platform taking inspiration from other global B2C payments platform and localizing to the Namibian context.
We delivered and continue to evolve key capabilities:
- Consumer Mobile Applications: New, Android and iOS mobile applications incorporating new features such as QR Code scanning and a new Design
- Merchants Portal: Brand new merchants portal enabling self-service for merchants previously impossible and offloading back office support teams
- Administration Portal: Admin functions and visibility for Nedbank staff
- Back End Transaction Engine: An rebuilt back end transaction system
- Integrations and Reporting: Real-time/API and batch-based (file) integrations into bank and 3rd party VAS systems
